Well it kept snowing all night so I got up before dawn to capture the first light of the day in Central Park. It was a slippery, toe numbing, isolated hike to get to this spot. Glad I did it. During the 50 years that have passed since he was there, some of the trees have grown and now hide a portion of the Snake River. Had to climb a rock wall to get to the best location on the edge of a rather steep cliff. I was, surprisingly, completely alone at this spot during this sunset so this is certainly a unique shot. © 2005 Karl Tepfer
