karl-tepfer > I went to the base of the Brooklyn Bridge to capture some shots of the "Waterfalls" underneath the Bridge. When I got there, close to sunset, this group of apparent bridge worshipers were gathered, seeming to wish "goodnight" to the Manhattan Bridge. I did eventually get some images of the waterfall, which was directly behind me, but couldn't resist this one.

It was the last building to fall on September 11th, and the first one rebuilt. This image was taken May 22, 2008 on during the 125th Birthday Celebration of the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge. Cropped to exactly 10"x10"

karl-tepfer > A few minutes after the fireworks celebrating the Brooklyn Bridge 125th Birthday on May 22, 2008. This unique lighting of the two towers of the bridge took place for only three nights. The bright light in the lower left was for the T.V. cameras and reporters covering the event. The reflection of one of the reporters can be seen in the East River.
